FUNDING SUPPORT
HKU China 10,000 Exchange Programme
About the Scheme

At the University’s Centenary Ceremony held on August 18, 2011, Premier Mr. Li Keqiang announced that the central government would set up a dedicated fund to support 1,000 HKU teachers and students to visit the Mainland every year.
The Programme was launched successfully, as projected, in 2012. The Fund also aims to provide financial support for the University to extend the collaboration and exchange opportunities with Mainland universities which can lead to activities, such as student exchange programmes, research scholarships, experiential learning opportunities and social service practices for HKU students and staff in the Mainland’s educational sectors.
