About the Programme

Eligibility
As requested by the host institution, only full-time undergraduate students who hold a Hong Kong permanent identity card and valid travel documents to the Mainland and Indonesia are eligible to participate in the programme.
Students should be able to write and read in Chinese, and communicate in Putonghua as the programme activities in Mainland will be conducted exclusively in Putonghua.
Requirement
Participants should guarantee FULL PARTICIPATION in the programme, and are required to submit the following documents to Mainland Affairs Office within 10 days upon the completion of the programme:
Experience sharing (300 words in both English and Chinese)
Survey
5 photographs taken during the participation of the programme
Programme Fee
As the programme is sponsored by the host institution, programme fee, local accommodation, and transportation are covered and to be provided by the OCMFA.
Participants are responsible for a refundable deposit of HK$1000 upon satisfactory completion of the programme, and other expenses including but not limited to souvenirs and personal meals.
Participants are strongly recommended to purchase travel insurance according to personal needs, especially for those who wish to extend their stay in the destination(s). For the university coverage, please refer to the policy for undergraduates and postgraduates provided by Finance and Enterprise Office.
Financial Assistance
Subsidies are provided for HKU students to pursue exchange activities in Mainland China. For eligibility and application, please click here for further details.
Application
Make sure you have read through the details and met all of the programme requirements.
Complete HKU online registration and upload all the required documents by the application deadline as stated on the website. (Please note that no information/document(s) uploaded can be changed once the application is submitted.)
Each applicant needs to submit a resume (in Chinese) and write a feature essay of no less than 2,000 words (in Chinese) for review by the OCMFA and the Hong Kong Youth & Tertiary Students Association.
All shortlisted students will receive an invitation to interview after submitting the application. The organizer will contact the students concerned with interview details.
